recently, there are some bloggers try to link a lot other bloggers. yet i was curious they would like to link someone's blog that they dont read. finally i found out why and i advise you all dont leave your url. why? because it's NOT WORTH

1st. you have to link them 1st then only they will link back. what kinda condition? if you want to link, just link it. and if you dont want to, just leave it.

2nd. once you go to their blog and leave your url, this will boost up their traffics. nice trick huh? if there are more than 100 bloggers leave the url, imagine what happen to their site traffic? they will laugh happily because their site traffic are so high while you still sit in front your computer and wait for your site traffic to increase.

3rd. this is a way to promote their blog without spending a single cent. when you linked him, your readers may read their blog too. somebody said he is going to link 150 bloggers and he will get more and more readers. okay, you may think that you ask them to link you is also a way to promote your blog. but think properly, there are MORE THAN 100 links there, is there anyone going to click and read it one by one? they even make it to 2 categories: "the blog i read" and "other bloggers". what this means? think and figure out yourself la. heh.

example:-

*will you click on the links one by one??

i would like to say, if you're not gonna read my blog, why should i let you link me? let you link for what?

if you really want to promote your blog, you must first make your blog interesting. if your blog is interesting enough, no worries, your readers will help you to promote it. join blog explosion is much better than leave your url in their site. that is why i said NOT WORTH. dont you think so? one of my friend, ah fish has the same opinion with me. you may visit his blog too. heh.

I must say that i totally agree with u. No point linking somebody that never read your blog or wanted to know you. All they wanted is just the traffic and money. Then what's the point of blogging already?

the idea is somewhat lame. they do not only "trick" new bloggers that have unpopular site, they also manipulate them. Aiyo..so sorry for them. Hoping to get traffic (even though they will get SOME) but not so much..
the way to build up site reputation is by hard work.not some stupid and almost con-like idea..:P

:) I know who u're referring. I admire his way of increasing traffic & hid gd blog post. But, I share d' same mind with u, tat's y i didn't link.

I have a gd flow of blog readers too. So if i link him, I 'bo hua'/'lugi' & he link me, I think no one will see it, unless we're in the blog he reads.

i used to ask people for link exchange when i first start to blog in 2007. then i realised it doesn't work for long term. it depends on the content of your blog and stuff. and you need to sacrifice time visiting others so that they will visit you back.

that's why now i ask no more for a link exchange. if i find the blog is interesting, i will straightaway subscribe to it. it's not that i think high of myself or anything but i would rather have people who come willingly to my blog to hear and read what i wrote in it. but i will still return the link out of courtesy.

If someone really spend time on how PR and alexa rank works, linking sites is a something good. But if you are aiming for quality readers, there are better ways than blind linking.
Blind linking works depending on what your aim in blogging is

hey i agree. to get more ppl to view ur blog is not by linking others or wat so ever. i think it's moe abt ur entries. ppl want to read what u wrote. not just see see n not read n dun get anything..

and i'm glad i found a blogger the same age as me. or at least i hope i've found one.

yah, i agree. 90% of my link is the one i will go and read, even not everyday but also will do it for 3-4 days once. the last 10% is because they want me link back, and so, i just link, but rarely visit
